Don't know who the dude is, and not sure what it means, but I love the
quote. Sums things up quite nicely for some reason. Kicked
butt in poker again tonight. Score! ;) hehe.
It's funny, Josh, Chels, and I have played hours and hours of Texas
Hold'Em lately, but we're not really getting tired of it at
all. Course we do a lot of talking while we're playing too.
Josh and I have known each other for....15 years now, but we still
never run out of crazy stuff to talk about. (Right bro?) (If you
ever get around to reading this that is). Well got an application
for Fry's electronics today. Actually my sis was kind enough to
pic it up for me since she was in the store. I've made up my mind
to work as hard as it takes to get a job during the day so I can afford
to move out and take online classes. So....I'd be working 50-60
hours a week and be going to school full time (insane I know!).
But I figure....#1 I stay up insanely late as it is, when no one else
is up to hang out with so I'll have lots of time to do school work; #2
I should still be able to hang out with friends a couple evenings a
week; #3 What the heck else do I have to do? hehe. I know
several people have doubted my ability to be disciplined enough to get
my school work done, and I tell them, it's not getting it done that's
neccesarily the problem, it's getting it done time time to wake up
freakin early to go to class and turn it in! If I could e-mail it
and avoid waking up early for class I'll be ok! For some reason I
can wake up early for work, but I have a very hard time waking up early
for school. Radom thought, but I need to get back into reading
"Mere Christianity" (C.S. Lewis) I was reading a little bit every
day, but last week I started working all day and it threw me off.
Right now though I'm gonna go finish watching Godfather Part II
(or part Deux, or part Deuce) :) Don't really feel like
reading right now, but I'll do it when I wake up tomorrow.
Couple good Oscar Wilde quotes for ya:
"Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much"
"American had often been discovered before Columbus, but it had always been hushed up."
"America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between."
He he. Gotta love the Brits. I don't always agree with him,
but I still love his quotes. I think I'm gonna start posting
quotes on here and get people's feedback. Good times.
Peace, love, and rock n' roll!!!

| Well I had fun at the wedding reception last night. She already had someone set up the music, so I didn't have to DJ (wasn't really set up at all for a DJ anyway) which was fine with me, cuz I had a chance to just eat, relax, and drink champaine (sp?). Don't worry, only had one glass (for the toast). I'm not really a big fan of it, but I drank it anyway. lol. I dunno, wine just tastes better to me than champaine. Anyway, worked today. Nothing really noteworthy.....washing clothes right now (I think I have like 4 loads to do....seriously) and drinking orange juice. Mmmmm...orange juice....is there anything you can't do? lol. One of these days I'll post something that is actually profound. :) Just not yet. ;) Hope everyone had a good day. Peace out.
P.S. If you haven't heard Lostprophets, they are an up-and-coming rock band from Wales. Very cool stuff. Good to rock out to. Word! | | |
| Well gosh, can't believe I'm actually posting on here. Crazy huh? I've been encouraged by my growing readership (all....5 of you. hehe) that I SERIOUSLY need to post....so thus....I am. Well....ya a lot has happened since I last posted on here. lol. I'll try to do this on a more regular basis now. In my defense, I orginally created a profile so I could comment on Jess' site, not to actually post anything myself. ;) lol. Have the day off today, so I've just been chillin. Watched special features and deleted scence on my special edition version of Silence of the Lambs earlier. Great film. One of the best mixes of horror, thriller, and detective genres I've ever seen. And of course Hopkins in the role of a lifetime. For fun, try counting how many times he blinks during the movie. It's not very many! Anyway, going to a wedding reception tonight for a woman that used to work at M & F. Should be good times. She had asked me a while back to DJ it, but I haven't heard back from her in a while, so I'm not sure if I actually am or not. :) So we'll see. Been a long time since I've heard "Drive" by Incubus. Mmmm.....great song. Anyway....maybe I'll post more later, but I can't think of a lot right now. Kinda hot here. Think I'll go sit in front of the fan. Laters. | | |
| Ya....so I figured I should put an entry up on this site. Good times. Well today I slept in late, read some in Lord of the Rings, and changed a couple things to try and make this actually look like a Xanga site. Ya, I know it's crappy but I don't really have the time right now. Actually I gotta get ready for work soon so this'll be short. I'm thinking right now that I hope Jessi got safely back home from England. Not sure what time she was getting in. And also hoping that my present got there in time so that she doesn't get upset with me. I mailed it in time so hopefully it's there. If not I'm gonna complain to the Priority Mail people. Stupid government. hehe. Anyway, gotta go. I also think it's funny that I'm talking about Jessi instead of to her, which I really should be doing since, well.....who else is reading this? lol. Hope you are doing awesome babe and had a safe and fun trip. Talk to you later. | | |
